Spring League 8U Mites

This registration is for the Mite Spring League taking place over 11 weeks between March and May 2024.  The rules for Spring League are as follows:

RWB/8U SPRING LEAGUE RULES

8U spring league consists of 21 "games" and 1 practice

Each team is responsible for supplying one person to assist as a clock attendant. No scoresheet is used.

2 games will be on ice at same time – Bumpers will be placed across center ice. 

Games will be played as 20 min running time.  After that they will switch opponents and play a second 20 minute run time game.  Then the opponents will change for a third 20 minute run time game.  With 4 teams, all teams will play 3 - 20 periods over 1.5 hours of ice time (this counts as one "game") – Curfewed at 80 minutes

There is a 3-minute warm-up for first game only. Horn is to be sounded every 2 minutes for line changes.  Do not stop clock.

Teams will play 3-3 or 4-4 depending on bench size. Coaches can make the call.

Equipment

Full hockey equipment is required including shoulder pads and facemask. All players MUST wear a non-clear, attached mouth guard.
All players will be required to wear a neck guard. All players must wear rink supplied jersey.

Coaches

Each team will have a maximum of two coaches/parents on the ice

Substitutes

Substitutes must be currently registered to play on another Scottsville Spring RWB team.

Registration and Payments

All players must be registered and paid in full before playing first game
